self-portraits 1988 portfolio

i made these images in my 2nd year at SVA in new york. they were made on 8x10 single weight fiber paper negatives, exposed with a sequence of strobes to affect the slow emulsion. i was moving in front of the lens as if i was making a movie. each time processing the paper negatives right away in the darkroom across the hall. later i printed the series of 33 images as an edition of 4 on 11x14 agfa 118.
